After the show being postponed the day before the original concert because of Jimmy's father dying, the long anticipated day had finally arrived!!!! WOOOHOOOO!!!!

Being privileged enough to be travelling on the "Pumpkin Bus" the whole concert situation was pretty exciting. After travelling for 5 hours with fellow Pumpkiners we arrived at the Town Hall. It was small where we were standing downstairs and the sell out crowd was not that large. After hearing out the opening band "Atomic Blossoms" Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness started to play & like a dream Billy, James, Jimmy & D'arcy resume their positions on stage.

I can't remember the set list (it was 2 years ago) but I think they started with Where Boys Fear To Tread. The light show for 1979 was so wicked =) Billy got into Soma & took us on all on another song epic =)

Billy told us some cool stories ..one of them was how they had been go karting the day before & some mean sound man rammed him off the side - all accompanied by James broom broom noises which were sooo cute =)

So then they left...& came back again & played forever which was more like 3 hours. The long solo was absolute bliss although some complaints from untrue fans got annoying but that was made up by the long (2 seconds real-time) stare i got from Billy!!!!!! (cheesy i know =) ) & then they stopped & that was it.

My friend scored a red cup like the ones from the 1979 vid. Someone else from the bus got a legendary SP pick & i had to fork out pennies for a black tour t-shirt which is STILL too big (grrr).

So there ended my wondorous nite of my life & now i'm just waiting till they come back to New Zealand...I HOPE!!! =)
