Bronco Bowl: Dallas, TX, USA
May 12 2000

By Natalie Cervantez - I started out with my dad and friend Cedric about 6:30 when we arrived the line was already outside forming a curve all around the building. The event staff told everyone to get out and make another line so then my dad pushed me and told me to hurry up and get in front. It worked and we were inches closer to getting inside. We stood there for a good 45 minutes and then we got in. It was sold out and we ran to find our seats. They were pretty high but we could still see the stage perfectly. More time passed and then the beginning of The Age Of Innocence started to play and then that's when the spotlight shown on Jimmy. Everyone yelled including me and Billy came out into the light. It was so awesome. After it ended they went right into more songs from Machina namely Glass+and the Ghost Children. And then Stand Inside Your Love. After that Billy greeted the audience saying it was nice to be back so soon. And then they started again. It was pure magic. Billy then talked to the audience saying that he had be in town for two days and hadn't heard and Smashing Pumpkins songs on the radio. He then asked us to answer a question for them. He wanted us to yell yes if we heard their songs on the radio, about less than half the people yelled yes. Then he said those who haven't yell no and more than half yelled no. He then said that we needed to call in and request their music because they were rich rock stars who needed more money. LOL

After that they let James sing Blew Away because they revealed that he is also from Texas. =)

People screamed throughout the whole song, they really liked it when James sung. Jimmy also got out the guitar and played a really cool acoustic version of 1979. The night concluded with another song that I can't seem to remember I think it was Blank Page.

Then they came out and played Cherub Rock and To Sheila. and went back off stage. People screamed for more and they came out one last time to play some cover song that I don't know the title too. And then when they finished Billy went up into the audience to shake the kids' hands and he went to the left down the middle to the right side of the stage. And Melissa threw her bottle of water out to the audience along with a couple of bass pics. It was so cool and then Billy took a final bow and then the lights came up with My Blue Heaven playing in the background.
